At Ejura-Nkwanta, in the Ejura-Sekyeredumasi Municipality of the Ashanti Region, a senior official of the Ghana Prison Service is accused of attacking a 45-year-old man with a sharp object.
Abdullai Yaro is claimed to have been beaten by the officer after he allowed his animals to ruin his corn plot.
Community members claimed the officer does not own a farm close to where the animals were grazing in an interview with Illiasu Abdul Rauf Dabre of Adom News.
The victim, who is presently being treated at St. Luke Hospital, has significant wounds throughout his body, including his skull.
The victim described his incident, saying the officer had approached him outside of his home, asked him why the herdsman had brought his cattle there, and accused him of ruining his corn plot.
- Before he could dispute it, the cop, according to Abdullai Yaro, attacked him and sprayed pepper spray on his face.
The victim’s wife, Bintu Abdullai, told Adom News that the incident took place at the officer’s home, not on a farm, where he had raised livestock and erected a room.
