The Ghana Education Service, (GES) has finally made public the long awaited  appointment letters for the 2023 candidates who applied for the various positions in the teaching field nationwide. The release of the appointment letters for the various positions of teachers has brought about much sense of excitement  alleviation to the applicants who have been eagerly waiting for the recruitment process to come to pass

However, the release of the appointment letters has been marred with a lot  of  confusions and controversy, with many genuine applicants allegedly missing out of the opportunity, while many others who did not meet the standard criteria in the selection process  reportedly received appointment letters. Reports indicate that the recruitment process was rife with favoritism, politics, fraud, and scams, which brought about the untimely issuance of appointment letters to some applicants.

Some users of social media have shared pictures and documents that verify the existence of those fraudulent activities. Some of these materials are made up of  appointment letters passed out to applicants through influential people and political leaders. These photos and documents have exacerbated the situation, leaving many real applicants being felt cheated.

Although the Ghana Education Service had earlier released a   a declaration denouncing claims of fake appointment letters, latest events have brought about applicants to impeach the transparency and legitimacy of the recruitment procedure. Sources report that the affected applicants at the moment are calling on Ghana Education Service to analyze the problem and offer clarification, as they believe that the recruitment procedure was  riddled with irregularities and corruption.

We have received copies of a number of the social media documents and complaints from affected candidates.
